Statement of Purpose
The purpose of Friends of
Covington is to bring together residents, workers, organizations and
other enthusiastic supporters of Covington. Our goal is to enhance the
quality of life in the community through communication, activities and
projects designed to foster pride and encourage positive development.
The Friends of Covington sponsor many programs and events throughout the year. Among them are; The Covington Beautification Awards, The Covington Award, Covington After Hours and The Great American Cleanup.

and business establishments.
Friends of Covington - Covington Award
is presented annually to an individual in
our community whose presence and actions
enhance the quality of life in Covington.
Covington After Hours
is sponsored by
Friends of Covington
the Second Wednesday each month.
Friends of Covington
are continually involved
in community projects
in Covington.
The Great American Clean Up
co-sponsored annually with the
Covington Community Center
involving neighborhoods and
groups throughout Covington.
Covington Clean Cat
is the mascot of the ongoing
program to rid Covington of
litter and educate the citizens
in ways of litter control.
