St. John's Congregational Church

Paul Burden was born and raised in the Kansas City area.  He is married to the

Rev. Cherie Hambleton, and has three children: Christina (17), Blake (15), and

Rachel (5).  Paul is a graduate of Central Missouri State University (Bachelor

of Arts) and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity).

He is currently working to complete a Master of Arts degree at Southern Illinois

University Edwardsville.  Paul has served as a pastor, campus minister, and

                                 reserve military chaplain. Paul considers it a privilege and joy to be the 12th Pastor of St. John's Congregational Church.
                                 In addtion to serving with St. John's Church, Paul is also a Chaplain Resident with VITAS Innovative Hospice Care,
                                 and a Chaplain with the 126th Air Refueling Wing of the Illinois Air National Guard. In addition to spending time
                                 with his family, Paul enjoys reading (especially theology, history, and fiction),jogging, music
                                 (bluegrass, alternative country, classic rock, folk), and eating Indian food.
